Veteran manufacturing executive, business leader and Lean expert Gary Brooks has joined the board of the Plymouth Tube Company. The organization is a privately-held, family-owned precision manufacturer of specialty tubing and extruded products across its nine US-based plants Plymouth Tube has long embraced the operational and cultural components of the Toyota Production System and uses this model to drive constant improvement and performance/value for its customers.
As a seasoned executive leader and CEO of companies including Wiremold, Esselte and others, Gary brings a wide range of perspectives to this board position. “I was interested in adding a board member to the team that had an exceptional track record as a CEO, had successfully executed multiple Lean transformations, and had strong commercial and strategic acumen” explains Drew Van Pelt, Plymouth Tube CEO. “Gary also had roots in family businesses, has a mentorship-oriented leadership style, and has built a strong network of relationships relevant to our challenges and opportunities. We are very excited about the contributions he’ll make to our second hundred years.”
